This is our weekly Surfline swell forecast and Red Bull El Gigante Viene update.

Nothing of note in the short term forecast for Puerto Escondido as the SPAC has been in a fairly zonal pattern of late. A smattering of modest and fun size swells, but nothing larger than a couple feet overhead for the next 7-10 days.

The longer range does look a little more promising, as consecutive storms moving under New Zealand will fire up in the next 2-5 days. As Sean mentioned, probably below what we're looking for with the first one lining up for the 19th-20th in the solid double overhead+ range, with the possibility of bigger sets.

The second of these swells would arrive around the 22nd and has the potential to be a bit stronger. Probably still smaller than what we're looking for, but something to keep an eye on never the less. I'll get another update out by Tuesday the 15th, unless one of these storms really blows up.
